Stand Up Derbyshire
Friday 25th September 2020
Stand Up Derbyshire took place on Friday 25th September.
Schools took part and pledged that every child would be as active as possible during the school day.
Organised by Active Derbyshire and the school games organiser network in Derbyshire, all primary schools in Derbyshire and Derby were invited to take part.
An interactive film about the day can still be seen here.
Schools were sent a toolkit from their school games organiser with ideas on how to incorporate bursts of physical activity throughout the school day. This toolkit can also be downloaded below.

Themes include active travel, active numeracy, active storytelling, health and wellbeing.
Ongoing support will be available after the day to help schools embed an active school ethos.
As part of the day pupils were asked to share what they enjoy about being active, and how they pledge to be active in the future.
Stand Up Notts also took place on Friday 25th September.
