Derbyshire schools’ good practice features in national education journal Physical Education Matters

Good practice examples from a number of Derbyshire schools have featured in national education journal Physical Education Matters.

The case studies showcase how schools have used the primary PE and Sport Premium in 2018-19 to improve PE, sport and physical activity for children in schools.

Active Derbyshire and the Derbyshire Active Schools Network worked together to gather good examples from across the county, and these were published in a booklet which was distributed to schools earlier this year.

The booklet caught the eye of the Association for Physical Education (afPE), which publishes Physical Education Matters, and case studies from Brockwell Junior School, Mapperley Primary School, and Shelton Infant School were selected to be showcased on a national level.

Further case studies from Derbyshire schools are also due to be published in the next issue.
