The Thomas Cook Children's Charity is a grant making charity, that was set up with the aim of improving children's lives.
Funding is awarded to causes and projects focused on improving children's lives (up to 18 years), by helping to improve access to facilities for education, well-being and health care.
Their Community Grants are awarded to registered charities, schools and other recognisable and accountable community causes for projects related to improving children's lives.
There is no limit to the amount of funding you can apply for. They advise that you request the amount you need and include a clear budget breakdown so that if the Children's Charity is unable to meet your full request, it may consider a partial award. However, looking at their last published accounts, most awards were below £15K, although they did make some awards above this amount.
If your application is successful, you will not be eligible to reapply within 2 years of the date the application was received. They are unable to fund salary or travel costs or the purchase of land or buildings.
The Community Grants Committee meets on a monthly basis.
