Leaflet brings together cycling opportunities in the Dales
A new leaflet which brings together all of the cycling opportunities in the Derbyshire Dales has been put together by the sport and health development team at Derbyshire Dales District Council and Derbyshire Sport.
The leaflet include details about the district's traffic-free trails, and cycle hire centres at Ashbourne, Carsington Water, Hassop Station, Middleton Top and Parsley Hay – most of which offer a range of adapted bikes suitable for anyone with additional balance or co-ordination needs.
It also includes details of a variety of led cycle rides which are on offer, and links to local cycling clubs.
Approximately 400 leaflets will be produced, which will be displayed within local leisure facilities and at local events.
The leaflet is a follow up to the work done in the Dales through the Community Sport Activation Fund (CSAF) project, 'Sporting Chances, Sporting Futures' which helped more disabled people to get cycling.
