About Workforce Business Manager
Hours of work: 35 Hours per week
Work Pattern: Open to a compressed 4 day week or choosing a work pattern to suit both the business and the ideal candidate.
Location: Home based
Salary: £35,736 per annum (FTE)
The Institute of Swimming work in conjunction with Swim England as a subsidiary, and exist for the good of the sport; developing the best aquatic professionals is our priority.
We are the largest provider of Swim England qualifications and aquatics courses and we train over 60 per cent of all swimming teachers in the UK.
We are seeking to appoint a Workforce Business Manager to join our team on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity working within the Swim England Business Engagement Team, within the Institute of Swimming Directorate. You will be responsible for leading and managing the development of new business for the Institute of Swimming, reviewing the current portfolio of products and services to ensure that they are fit for purpose and to enhance business performance.
Reporting to the Head of Business Engagement, you will also be responsible for developing commercial strategies and operational plans to increase revenue or decrease cost in line with the organisation's objectives. Investigating new opportunities to maximise commercial revenue from existing products, through the development of both original and complementary products and/or services. Providing consultancy support to identified stakeholders, implementing solutions to their business needs. Managing the role of Recruitment Academy and Funding Officer. The successful candidate must:
- Be a credible communicator, demonstrating the ability to influence, with good intrapersonal and presentation skills
- Data literate and analytical with demonstrable business acumen
- Be confident in their ability to meet targets and manage a varied workload without close supervision, demonstrating excellent time management skills
- Possess demonstrable business development, revenue generation and project management experience
- Be consultative yet outcome focused in their approach
