About University of Derby Boxing Coach

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1) To develop and deliver effective training and individual skill development sessions on a weekly basis in preparation for any appropriate competitions

2) Offer safe and structured training to students of varying ability, from beginners to advanced

3) To be a positive and professional role model at all times, displaying good coaching conduct and promoting an enjoyable, motivating and inclusive atmosphere which upholds the ethos of Team Derby

4) To support and promote the development of the club, helping to meet its aims and objectives, and liaising with the Committee & Union staff on future development requirements

5) To work with the county sport and NGB to feedback and update the club with relevant developments in the sport

6) To be responsible for the safety of all participants during training , ensuring the safe use of equipment by adhering to the Health & Safety guidelines of University facilities

7) To act in accordance with the coach code of practice and NGB guidelines

8) To abide by the University Equal opportunities policy at all times

9) Attend and contribute to any Coach Development Reviews during the season

10) Any other duties appropriate to the role, as directed by the Union of Students
