Key Cycle Networks

Key Cycle Networks

Are you interested in cycling? If so, we want to hear from you.

We’ve been working with partners, including Derbyshire County Council, Derby City Council and a number of other organisations and cycling groups to draw-up a key cycle network.

It’s all part of our plans to make Derbyshire the most connected county for cycling in England – and now we want to know what people think.

The key cycle network will be made up of new and existing routes and will be the main routes needed to help people cycle around the county, whether it’s to get to and from work or just for fun.

We’ve highlighted these main routes on a map, including where new paths need building or existing ones need improving.

We know there are many more cycle paths and routes in Derbyshire which are equally important to local communities. Please be assured these will form part of the wider cycle network which we’ll focus on later once the main links are all in place.

And we’ve created a map to show which routes should be included in the network – as well as those that need improving or building – to help us achieve this aim.

Please take a look at the map and tell us what you think by filling in the form below by 24 January 2018.
