Cllr Carol Hart
Carol became an Elected Member on Derbyshire County Council following a by-election in 2005. In 2009 she became the Cabinet Member for Communities and later Cabinet Member for Public Health. From 2013 to 2017 she served as Shadow Cabinet Member while in opposition. Following the County Council Elections in May 2017 Carol became the Cabinet Member for Health and Communities.
Carol has recently become Leader of Erewash Borough Council after serving as Deputy Leader for the previous 10 years and as an Executive Member since 2003. She has also been the Chair of her local Parish Council since 1996.
Carol is a long-term holder of a season ticket at Derby County Football Club and also, amongst other boards, is a member of the Derby County in the Community Trust.
Carol represents the Breadsall and West Hallam Division which is mainly rural.
Stuart is the Vice Principal for Student Futures at Chesterfield College and has overall responsibility for the college services which ensure that all learners develop a breadth of knowledge, skills and experiences for their progression into work, higher level study and/or apprenticeships.
His professional background is within further education and training, with Stuart starting his career in education as a teacher in Sport and Exercise Science.
Stuart has operated within a number of different positions within further education and has been passionate about sport since a very young age and has engaged in a variety of sports within Derbyshire participating at a range of levels.
Dean has been Director of Public Health for Derbyshire County Council since August 2016 and prior to this worked as a Public Health Consultant for Calderdale Council in West Yorkshire.
Dean trained as a Public Health Specialist within the East Midlands as part of the national Public Health specialty training, over a period of four years.
He is the Senior Responsible Officer for the Prevention work stream of the Derbyshire Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP), Joined-Up Care Derbyshire.
Sarah has been Chief Executive of Peak District National Park Authority since January 2015 and is a former Head of Field Services and Director – Midlands at at the Environment Agency.
The Derbyshire Leadership Panel meet regularly to help deliver Active Derbyshire's ambitions and its strategy, Towards an Active Derbyshire 2016-2021.
